Thomas Telford
Our seasonal exhibition 2017 provides an insight to the impact of Thomas Telford's civil engineering in the Dornoch area.
Part of the display shows the original road bridge over the Evelix River, close to the junction of the A9 and A949, which can be easily overlooked amongst the trees to the south of the new bridge carrying the A9 .
Additional to the exhibition, an original winch from Thomas Telford's sluice gates at the Mound forms part of the museum external display.
