CAR PARKS
There is a small car park at the museum, with a larger public car park, suitable for coaches, in The Meadows nearby.
ON FOOT
If you are walking to the Museum then we are located just of the main street (Castle Street) behind the Dornoch Castle Hotel and the Carnegie Courthouse.
BY BUS
Dornoch is a stop on the regular Stagecoach X98 & X99 services between Inverness and Thurso. Alight at the bus stop in Dornoch Square and follow the fingerpost signs to Historylinks (help yourself to a free Town Map from the dispenser on the side of the bus stop). We are just 150m (2 minute walk) away.
CYCLING
Use the above map to find your way to the Museum. We welcome cyclists and have cycle stands available outside.
BY TRAIN
Unfortunately our railway station closed in 1962 (learn all about its history in the Museum!). Our nearest railway stations now are at Tain (9 miles south) and Golspie (10 miles north), both on the North Highland line from Inverness to Wick & Thurso.
