With a grant from Museums Galleries Scotland, the Historylinks website has now been upgraded.
Initially, in 2003, the museum had a single-page website. This was replaced by a more comprehensive site, produced using Dreamweaver software. Although this site was subject to progressive development over the past 12 years, it was recognised that the time had come for redesign with the incorporation of a Content Management System for enhanced presentation when using a tablet or smartphone.
An additional benefit from the new software has been the elimination of dependence on a single volunteer experienced in the use of Dreamweaver. The new site is to be updated and maintained by a team of administators using a browser, with password access, rather than specialised software.
We hope that you will find the revised website easy to use and comprehensive in meeting the information you require about Historylinks. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any comments or suggestions for further enhancement.
