DISPLAYS

Historylinks aims to make presentation and interpretation as clear as possible. Many of the displays are graphic interpretations of the story of Dornoch, supplemented by films and display cases showing some of the 12,000 items in our collection.

We endeavour to follow best practice when selecting text fonts, sizes and colours for our displays, to best assist those with partial or poor vision.

A hearing loop is available throught the museum.

TRANSLATIONS

Translations of the core exhibits are available in French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Gaelic.

ACCESS TO INFORMATION & ARCHIVES
The Museum will try and help with all enquiries. We also provide access to our website and Image Archive  (providing an image and basic details of all objects in the museum collection) from a computer within the small reference area of the museum.

By prior request items* from the collection can be examined at Historylinks at a mutually agreed time and date. A minimum of 5 days notice is normally required.

* Historylinks reserves the right to refuse a request if it considers the item to be particularly fragile or of a sensitive nature.
